If it is to be reviewed generally then worship for a Muslim maybe meant as a Prayer, Fasting, Charity or Hajj & Umrah journey at least once in a life. Do you think your responsibility ends up only here or religion is winded up with these rituals? No, because this is the point where your real sense of responsibility start, you’re presenting Islam and hence need to make it the lifestyle. Deep down if someone really wants to know the main purpose and significance of worship, will reach up to the right guidance from Allah the almighty.
In order to learn the real essence of worship, you must look at your lives. The job that revolves around the day, your family, parents and children. Are you fair in all these relationships? Islam is not only about the rituals but it is the code of life. The honest efforts you put into your job, the way you deal with your relations and how you maintain the source of income is all about the right conduct. Pure intentions, righteous actions are the real essence of worship. The satisfaction of your conscience is more important than anything else. It doesn’t matter that how many hours you sleep in a day but make them peaceful by repenting on your sins. Life is all about engaging yourself in such activities that help you grow personally and socially. Social activeness with some kind of helpful events is the is an amazing job itself. You may not earn too much money but you’ll have the satisfaction and a peaceful heart. Even the journey of Hajj or Umrah teach you the ethics and morals of life. the basic ruling of worship can be learned from all these rituals. You’re forbidden from any kind anger expression or not eligible to hurt yourself too. So, this is the way Islam teaches you to be kind and remember Allah (SWT). Your every deed is counted and if one performs right actions with pure intentions he/she will be rewarded by the on the day of judgement. As it is said in one of the verses of the Quran: And We all set up the scales with justice on the Day of Judgment… (Al-Anbiyaa’ 21:47) The Quran also emphasize mercy and compassion. However, perform daily rituals along with the extrinsic activities of worship will turn your life into an amazing example of a perfect lifestyle. It teaches you more about the humanity than blindly following the faith. Find out the answer, seek for the truth and you shall know the right answer to your doubts. There is always an amazing example of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to follow and make your life worth spending on the earth. Don’t forget to perform your intrinsic rituals of worship but keep the humanity, peace and harmony along. Your prayers are for you and your goods deeds will help others too.
